General Data Protection Regulations
The GDPR requires the practice to process data ‘fairly’ and in a ‘transparent manner’ which is ‘easily accessible and easy to understand’. This means that we must provide information to patients about how the practice processes patient data in the form of ‘practice privacy notices’.
Practice Privacy Notices
The PPNs cover four key themes: provision of direct care; medical research and clinical audit; legal requirements to share; and national screening programmes.
Legal Requirement to share data (DOCX, 34KB)
Medical Research and National Clinical Audits (DOCX, 33KB)
National Screening Programmes (DOCX, 31KB)
Provision of direct care (DOCX, 36KB)
If a patient wishes to opt-out of sharing their data they can visit NHS Digital at digital.nhs.uk/services/national-data-opt-out-programme#section-1
