Evening and weekend appointments
We are here for you in the evening and at weekends and we want to make it easier for you to get an appointment at a time that suits you. Evening and Saturday appointments are available for our patients, in addition to our normal opening hours of 8.00am to 6.30pm.
These evening and Saturday appointments may take place by phone, video, or face-to-face depending on your clinical need.
You may be offered an appointment at this GP practice, another local GP practice or another local NHS service. This is because we are working with other local GP practices to provide these appointments. Our practice is part of a small group of practices called a Primary Care Network. This group of practices works together in a number of ways to deliver services in your area.
Evening and Saturday appointments are available at Fullwell Cross Medical Centre and Newbury Group Practice.
How to book an appointment
Contact us via www.newcrossalliancepcn.net or phone 0203 916 5544 to request an appointment. When practices are closed and you need support, please contact NHS 111 (by phone or online: 111.nhs.uk).
*Why does my practice close some Wednesdays?
Keeping up to date with new treatments and techniques is really important in the NHS. Once a month – usually on a Wednesday morning - our GPs go to training events to help make sure that you are getting the very best care possible.
On these days we have a limited service here at the practice, but you can still be seen by our out of hours service during this time. If you need to see a Doctor before our Surgery is open again call 0330 100 4471.
What To Do When The Surgery Is Closed
We have a 24-hour emergency cover provided by the GP On-Call Service.
If you need a doctor in an emergency when the surgery is closed please phone 111, this is the GP On-Call service.
If you simply require information or advice, you may telephone NHS 111, a 24 hour nurse-led advice line on 111, or contact their website at www.nhs.uk
In Acute Emergency
In the event of patient collapse or other emergency, it may be better to dial 999 for the ambulance service.
Access for the Disabled
Our practice car park has disabled parking spaces only. Our medical centre has ramp access for wheelchairs as well as toilet facilities for the disabled.
