Appointments

To request an appointment (Monday to Friday)

  • Online Enquiry Form between 7.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday to request an appointment. We will respond within 3 hours when we are open. We are open Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.30pm
  • Phone us Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.30pm
  • Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist. We are open Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.30pm

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with. We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable health professional to help you.

Your appointment

We may then offer you an appointment:

  • By phone
  • Face to face at the surgery
  • On a video call
  • By text or email

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible. This often means our clinicians can help you sooner.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

If you can not make your appointment let us know as soon as you can so another patient can book the appointment time. You can cancel or change your appointment:

  • Use Our Online Enquiry Form
  • Phone us Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.30pm
  • Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist. We are open Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.30pm

If you need help when we are closed

  • Use NHS 111 online (111.nhs.uk) or call 111. 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
  • Evening and weekend appointments - This practice is part of a Primary Care Network, with Newbury Group Practice and Hainault Surgery. We run enhanced access clinics for "non-urgent" appointments every weekday evening between 6.30 to 8.00pm and can be accessed between 2.00pm to 8.00pm weekdays using this link  Evening Appointments, or by calling 0203 916 5544 between 5.00pm to 8.00pm.
  • We also offer a nurse led clinic on Saturdays and they can be accessed by calling 0203 916 5544 weekdays between 5.00pm to 8.00pm or on Saturday between 9.00am to 5.00pm.
  • If it’s a life-threatening emergency call 999.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • If you need an interpreter
  • If you have any other access or communication needs.

Home Visits

Home visits are very time consuming and are reserved for the housebound, infirm and seriously ill patients. If you do not feel well enough to come to surgery it is often reasonable to rest at home where the problem may be resolved using advice from the pharmacist. Rashes and sore throats etc will not worsen by coming to the surgery, and you will be seen and be able to start treatment more promptly than would be possible had a home visit been requested.

If you are ill, need to see a doctor and are unable to come to the surgery, please telephone the surgery before 11.00am and give the practice staff full details of the problem. The doctor will then telephone the patient to judge the urgency of each call for planning their rounds.

Lack of transport is not a reason to request a home visit.
